Our in-house alterations service means that even if you’ve already found your dress elsewhere or you have been gifted a dress from a family member, we can help to make it perfect for you.
You may want to customise it in some way, maybe by adding or removing sleeves, adding some extra sparkle or change the lace – whatever it is, we will be able to help adjust the dress so that you can achieve that perfect fit and look. Because we know how to properly construct dresses of all shapes and sizes, you can have complete confidence that we will perfectly alter your clothes.
We will do our best to factor in and incorporate the things that help you get that extra wow-factor from your dress. Whether it be a wedding dress, for a bridesmaid or flower girl, a mother of the bride/groom dress, or simple your favourite occasion wear dress for that extra important event.
We are also often asked if we can take dresses out rather than in and the truth in the answer is, yes, but it depends on the dress in question. Providing that there is sufficient seam allowance available then we will do our best to make this happen. Alternatively, where the seam allowance is not sufficient, then, providing we can source the same fabric or you are happy for something slightly different or creative, we are able to put in an extra panel.

We do also offer a rush service for those of you who have left things a little late or have some last minute hiccups. Standard turn around time is 3-4 weeks but special things have happened when a 24hour alteration has been needed!

Pockets
Who doesn’t love a pocket to keep their essentials on the day! Well, where possible we will be able to incorporate pockets into your wedding dress.
Something Blue
We are often asked if we can sew something blue into a wedding dress. This could be a blue ribbon sewn into the inside of the bodice or some hand embroidery done in blue thread.
Something Old
Incorporate part of a brides mothers wedding dress into the new dress for something sentimental. This could be using the petticoat that your mother had in her dress, using the lace from the old wedding dress and incorporating it onto your veil, or simply customising it to fit you.
Initials
Add in initials for you and your partner or event the date you’re getting married. For an added bonus, this could also be done in blue.
Health Conditions
We can make adjustments for people who have health conditions requiring extra room to be made in dresses in an inconspicuous way. Alternatively, you’re body may be asymmetrical meaning that you need different alterations on alternative sides of the dress – we’re not all perfect cookie cutter shapes!
Sentimental
Incorporating something that is sentimental and held dear to you, such as a piece of jewellery, is also often requested, especially in times when loved ones are unable to join people on their special days and events
